SuperSolidState is the website of Paulo Marques, a Senior Designer with strong conceptual thinking and 10 years of experience creating cutting-edge and original design solutions, nurturing projects through their entire life-cycle and with a demonstrated track record as a lead designer on high volume sites and digital media projects.
He briefly studied Visual Arts in High School and frequented BFA in Music Studies and Double bass at the National Conservatory School of Music in Lisbon between 1995 and 1998 before he ventured back into the visual arts world.
After 3 years working as a junior new media producer for one of Lisbon’s first digital-only agencies in the early days of the dotcom boom, he then moved to Dublin to work as an Interface Designer for a profitable web publishing startup, where he stayed for a year.
Since then and after moving finally to London he has worked with clients in the publishing, entertainment, financial, government and broadcasting industries where he developed strong design, technical and leadership skills (he loves to grow and develop junior talent) and a profound interest and understanding of digital media, motion graphics and cutting-edge technologies.
He currently freelances in London where he has lived and worked for the past 8 years, and occasionally still plays the double bass.
